HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE NAME BEE & BEE?
I initially wanted my business to be called Beauty and Beyond, My accountant at the time was getting me all set up and unfortunately he called me to tell me that Beauty and Beyond wasn’t available and I missed his call. Well he continue setting the business up and just went with Bee & Bee and it stuck. So that’s how it came about.

WHAT ALL SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
I’m a licensed Esthetician so I can do facials, relaxation massage, body waxing, and much more. Since I received my license in 2016, I have taken additional training and certifications in Dermaplaning, Teeth whitening, Lash Extensions, Lash Lift, Chemical peels, Tooth Gems, Sugaring, Body Sculpting, Brows, Make-Up classes, and much more. So the short answer is
Body Waxing lol.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO BODY WAXING?
I couldn’t find a job in my field at the typical chain stores or even spa’s around the area. I was walking in a plaza one day and seen a help wanted sign in a waxing studio window. I stopped in and the owner wanted to hire me on the spot. I wasn’t able to start right away but when I started a few days later, he asked me if I ever did a Brazilian Wax….. Uh, no. He then told me that there’s someone that booked and will be in in 30 minutes, he tells me to watch a Youtube video and do my best. It literally took me over an hour to complete that poor ladies wax. She still tipped me $20 and gave the owner a good review of me. Needless to say, I told him if he wanted me to continue to work there he would need to get me professionally trained, he did
and the story continues.

WHEN DID YOU OPEN YOUR OWN BUSINESS?
I left that Studio at the end of 2017 when my son was tragically murdered and I knew I needed to do something or I would easily fall into a depressed state. A client told me about an empty space in the building she was renting for her hair salon. She talked to the owner, gave him my number, he called me in the middle of January and I was preparing for my open house by February 1. This was definitely God’s plan and not mine.

HOW DID YOUR BUSINESS SURVIVE THROUGH COVID19?
I closed my business down in March of 2020 through May of 2020. It was nice to have a break but my clients were not happy. I received several offers to break the government rules but I would not perform any services until they allowed us to open back up. I believe I still stayed closed for an additional 2 weeks. During this time my husband was riding through the neighborhood and seen a for sale sign at an old Dentist office. I opened up there in January 2021 and that is where I am currently doing business.

DO YOU OFFER ANY TYPE OF TRAININGS OR HELP OTHER ESTHETICIANS?
I have done training with Berodin Wax and currently with Bombshell Wax. I offer one on one trainings and group trainings in Intimate Waxing. I have also done several workshops and speaking events at different beauty school. I’m no gatekeeper and will help anyone that’s willing to learn.
